Terms and conditions
1. Assumption of Risk: The use of the sauna is undertaken at your own risk. We absolve ourselves from any liability for injuries sustained during the use of these facilities. It is the user’s responsibility to ensure that they can withstand exposure to hot temperatures. If you’re taking a dip in the ocean, you do so at your own risk. It is your responsibility to make sure that you can swim.
2. Consultation Prior to Use: It is strongly advised that all individuals consult with their medical practitioner or health advisor prior to utilising the sauna facilities if you have any pre-existing health conditions or concerns. If the user is in doubt or has any concerns about the state of their health, the sauna should not be used.
3. Essential Oils Usage: During Guided Sauna Sessions, we incorporate essential oils. If you have any allergies to oils, scents, or smokes, such as Palo Santo, it is imperative that you inform the facilitator beforehand. Campfire Sauna cannot be held accountable for any allergic reactions that may occur. Participants are welcome to bring their own oils to Open Sauna Sessions; however, individuals with allergies must exercise caution in this regard.
4. Supervision Requirement: It is mandatory that individuals under the age of 18 years have adult supervision while utilising the sauna. Children under the age of 16 are not permitted to use the sauna.
5. Safety Precautions: Exercise caution when entering and exiting the sauna as the presence of water may cause slippery conditions. Campfire Sauna disclaims any responsibility for injuries resulting from slips or falls. Users are advised to remain vigilant of their surroundings and to proceed with caution.
6. Fireplace Caution: Avoid direct contact with the sauna fireplace, as it can cause severe burns. Exercise caution when passing by the fireplace, ensuring there is ample space for safe passage. Individuals are urged to be mindful of others in the vicinity.
7. Alcohol and Drug Policy: Alcohol and drugs are not permitted in the sauna. We also advise users not drink alcohol before using the sauna. The Campfire Sauna operators reserve the right to refuse admission to intoxicated persons. Smoking is not permitted inside or around the sauna.
8. Health Restrictions: You must not use the sauna if you: suffer from high or low blood pressure or any heart or circulatory disorder, suffer from epilepsy or diabetes, are pregnant, or are prone to dizziness or fainting.
9. Group Booking Responsibility: If you are making this booking on behalf of a group, it is your responsibility to make your group aware of the terms and conditions and to practice safe sauna use.
10. Accidental and Personal Injuries: Users acknowledge that accidental and personal injury in New Zealand is covered by the Accident Compensation Act 2001. The user must comply with all health and safety directives from Campfire Sauna and comply with the requirements of the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015. The user must immediately notify Campfire Sauna of any near misses or accidents.
11. Loss or Damage of Personal Property: Users acknowledge that Campfire Sauna is not liable for the loss of, or damage to, any of the user’s property. Any equipment/property left at the sauna is at the user’s own risk.
12. Admission Rights: Campfire Sauna reserves the right to refuse admission for any reason that may be deemed a health and safety risk. Refunds will not be offered to anyone refused admission.
13. Sauna Usage: For your safety and wellbeing, please do not stay in the sauna for longer than 15 minutes per session. Prolonged exposure to high temperatures can cause dehydration, overheating, and other health risks.
Cancellations: If you have to cancel your booking, you can do so up to 36 hours before your session starts for a full refund. Any bookings cancelled within 36 hours cannot be refunded. Its unlikely that Campfire Sauna will have to cancel your booking, but if we do, we will notify you beforehand and provide you with a full refund.
